I’ve been living with 24/7 DPDR and freeze for 3 years. I don’t know how much longer I can do this.

I’m so frozen, I don’t know where to even begin.

I have severe nervous system shutdown, and I’ve tried EMDR multiple times - it hasn’t worked.

Vivid dreaming nightly - not scary, just random. And very real.

Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is rarely discussed in public forums, even though healthy connection to others is an integral part of healing. This is a peer support community for those who have undergone prolonged trauma and came out the other side alive and kicking, but with wounds that need tending. This is also a place for friends and family of the victims to come for support.

My three year journey - I’ve come so far, I’m not healed fully but looking back, wow - im proud of myself.

I no longer think DPDR is anxiety - it’s triggered by trauma / anxiety and then it gets stuck, which causes a loop, in which the nervous system can’t get out of
