The Immortal seemed like he was actually getting some decent character development in season 2. It's unfortunate he mostly became a rather cantankerous old man in season 3 (apart from that one scene when he called no goggles Invincible a pale imitation).

Just like with season 1, I really hope that season 2 continues to emphasise the effectiveness of Imperial stormtroopers. Not necessarily portraying them as super soldiers but at least as well-trained special forces. Perhaps even showing them to be somewhat competent in hand to hand combat.

Count Dooku fight The Chosen One and his master (admittedly just arriving from another fight) and beats them. Then whilst still tired, he engages the Grand Master of the order in a force and lightsaber duel and though forced to retreat, still exhausts Yoda after their fight. Honestly, quite a feat.

How much did Jaime Lannister improved as a left handed swordsman from season 4-8? Perhaps by the end of the series he was an average if not slightly above average swordsman considering all those he fought (including Euron Greyjoy) and the events he survived (Granted some luck was involved)

One thing I like more about HoTD than GoT is the greater role and presence of the Kingsguard. GoT never really showed the Kingsguard in action that much other than a flashback fight and being destroyed by the Hound in season 8 (and some other minor appearances)
